I am supervising the registrations and management side of our AirTrophy :) Besides holding sailplane and private pilot licence,member of the aero-club Ocova, Slovakia. Always have been in field of not only aeronautical technologies. Currently staying at EUROCONTROL, where I work on analyzing and studying the latest trends in the air traffic monitoring and surveillance, as a part of the team for direct support to ARTAS users.

Flying both Rotary and Fixed Wing aircraft. Graduated from Royal Military Academy Sandhurst into British Army Air Corps.

Duncan Matthews was a Royal Navy helicopter pilot, flying the Westland Lynx helicopter from the back of frigates and destroyers all around the world. Highlights of a varied naval career include some awesome flying, officer training, leading a multi-national element of the United Nations in Cambodia, commanding ships, and working in the UK Ministry of Defence. He served in the Royal Navy for 25 years.

Since leaving the Service, Duncan has worked for two major telecommunications companies and now provides crisis management advice, training and mentoring across a range of industries from nuclear power to academia.

Based on the south coast of the UK, Duncan is an active aviator, regularly flying a Cessna 150 Aerobat and a Tiger Moth out of Compton Abbas in Dorset.

Duncan enjoys working as Air Operations Coordinator with Prepare2Go, participating in the Zoute Air Trophy 2018 and Greenland Air Trophy 2019.
